Tl;dr version: If you built something on the lot where Magnolia Blossom used to be, be sure to check inside the house/building for him.I bulldozed Magnolia Blossom Park years ago and put a house on the lot. I only have a much smaller version of the park on another lot. So I wasn't sure if this step in the event would work correctly.I went to the lot where the park used to be and it registered me as being there, but I couldn't find Emit anywhere. Eventually it checked "introduce yourself to Emit" even though I still hadn't found him. But I got stuck for awhile at the next step where you are supposed to ask him about objects. As I hadn't actually talked to him, he wasn't in my list to call. My Sim spent several Sim hours just wandering around the area looking for him. I was about to post about it here to see if anyone else had the same problem, when it occurred to me he might be in the house I'd built on the lot. That's where he was, just chilling on their couch. Definitely a smack yourself in the forehead "duh" kind of moment.Edited to add that Magnolia Blossom is/was the center 64x64 lot in Willow Creek with a pathway and other park features around it in the world.

It's good that he still spawns on that lot no matter what's built there. EA's probably aware that some people might not have kept the park, and people can't get locked out events because they changed a build on a lot that's needed for said event.

I was a bit worried at first as I had replaced the original Magnolia Park with another one but when I got there I knew right away it would work out even if the lot name was different, and even though the lot name itself was different.

I was wondering if the sims team had considered players editing or replacing lots. I only made minor adjustments like adding stuff for toddlers. It's good to know it works. I had a similar problem. I build a big giant pine tree on that lot & had a hard time finding Emit. One I found him & did the tasks with him, I shrunk the giant tree by many levels so that it will be easier to find him next time.

Oh wow, okay so you actually have to have to OG lots etc to be able to do quests, good thing i learned that now before i try !!!

I mean, technically you don't have to have them. I have bulldozed every lot in the game and built my own thing (except for Myshuno Meadows). Lots that are part of a storyline or make locating things easier, I kept the original name and lot type, but rebuilt. They frequently have events happen at Magnolia Blossom or in the park areas around it, so it's helpful to know where it used to be.
