Hopes and dreams for seasons

I've been away for a time so if there is a thread already like this I'll apologize now :D

What are your hopes for the upcoming Seasons pack?

My biggest hope is that we will be able to set the length of our seasons for each town.

  • Each 'world' is already going to experience every season differently, so I don't think they'll allow us to set the length of each season per town... but I do still want the ability to adjust the lengths of each season per save file. 7 days just doesn't seem long enough... especially when the seasons will probably get repetitive way too easily as it is. If not, then I at least hope they allow us to set the length of each season in the actual game settings.

Either way, I just don't wanna have to use the weather machine to do this... I like realism in my Sims game. And using a machine to control the weather/seasons just doesn't go well with me.

So far, it seems like almost everything I wanted to see in a Seasons expansion pack is already included, so I don't really know what else could be missing.

Confirmed to not be in it, SimGuruGrant did say he wanted this feature though since City living
  • My main hopes and dreams for seasons is that the pack is released a week earlier xD

Honestly, I just can't wait for this. Seasons. The best sims pack in any sims game <3 I'm excited for all of it! The weather, the little details, the storms and blizzards, winter in Granite Falls, having the family build snowmen together, ice & roller skating, THAT calendar and the ability to make our own holidays, beekeeping, scouts (I mean scouts! They even made a whole little system for it ), walking the dogs in the fall, watching the toddlers in the kiddie pool, sipping lemonade on a hot Summer's day, the fact that they've made actual changes to the existing worlds (finally they'll get some of the newer features like food stands too, love those!), seeing storms during my future vacations in Selvadorada, ...... *Inhales*

    Just everything.

Well that's a little disappointing . I just don't want my seasons changing every 2 days. I want to be able to enjoy each season fully.

The standard for each seasons is 7 days but it’s adjustable, allowing for more time to enjoys the seasons. Weather type is what might change within 2 days not the season

Ooooh thank you for the link! Super helpful. I feel like I've missed a year and yet it's only been a few (maybe 6 ) months.

Heard in a Q&A video that you will be able to set the length of seasons, They're set in 1, 2 and 4 week intervals. The video is by Pixelade on Youtube. Watch all of his Seasons Q&A videos. You won't be disappointed. (Well maybe you will at some of the missing feature, like online dating and hail)
