I wouldn't choose the word cute myself ;) But it is like you say: you like it or you don't.
It causes them to look not very mature anyway (and to be honest when their face is 'at ease' they look boyish as well). Early twenties max. I think it's the skin as well. And the - lack of - shadows.
Which is fine if you're young by the way, so it's a private issue I guess :p
Oh I love your male sim, that you posted a picture of. Is he on the gallery?
He is kind of cute (and I do like the dimple in his chin, something terribly lacking in Sims 3)
