Horrible at making male sims.

Am I the only one that has a hard time creating decent looking male sims that produce normal looking offspring? I even notice this when I make a female sim, the nose will look normal on the female but when I try and change her to a male the nose gets wicked skinny and looks weird. Just thought this would be an interesting discussion and I was also wondering if I'm the only one who has noticed this.

When it comes to Sims 4, it's difficult for me. In Sims 3, I didn't have trouble since I didn't have the skin mold thing we have now. I like the skin mold thing though and I'm sure I'll get used to it.

In my opinion, male sims are actually easier to make than female sims, because on female sims I always need to put on make up and I'm not very good at that.

Why do you NEED to put make up on them? I rarely put make up on my sims and they turn out just fine. Not all women wear make up in real life so why would female sims?

Guys, they posted this three years ago...
  • Well, before this gets shut down, here's a little game to play. Take one of the pre-made female sims into CAS and change their gender. Female sims are created with really large eyes and small jaws. When you flip the gender, the male version ends up with... really large eyes and small jaws.
  • I usually just press "randomize" in CAS until I get a male sim that looks decent and then I tweak him a bit
  • Well, since this is a necrothread, but it's still going I guess I'll add my two cents:

I think the key to making men is to exaggerate certain features--obviously chins and jaws, but also noses and eyebrows, and go smaller on the eyes. I see a lot of little dainty noses on the Gallery. Toss in a broken nose here and there or just larger noses in general.

Yes, larger noses. And I'm surprised at all the little dainty chins and jaws.

  • Sul sul, I appreciate you're sharing your experiences making male Sims, but as was correctly pointed out above, this thread was revived after a long time and I feel there's nothing new to add to this discussion. Thus, I'm closing it. Cheers!
