That is honestly annoying :( I'm sorry it doesn't work for you.
My sim just won an award for writing a non-fiction book about her alien abduction encounters, and the host did her thing and all worked fine, but my save is new, started it after the patch (got bored of my other save)
This might be a long shot, and a tedious one too, but what if you were to save all your builds and households to your library. Start a new save and place them all down where they originally were, and try again? Maybe it's the save that is botched since it was pre patch started?
I just regenerated my game folder. Of course, I transferred the saves, Tray and Mods folders over. I wish, now, I had saved the families to My Library. I do a Save As, for each gaming session., too. This is so annoying. I started this iteration out with the eldest two boys in the family as a Toddler and Infant. To start over would take a lot of time, as I began this prior to the move to this forum. I will think on it, but you may well be correct.
Things were working quite fine, prior to the L&D patch. This is a very bad case of Deja Vu. As in my save was laid to waste after a Patch back in 2020. May I scream, now?
