Hot Update! 🔥 New SDX!! 5/16/23

I don't know why (probably the nose) but this new Dina is making me think of Detox from RuPaul's Drag Race season 5 :D

I like the recipes and the new beard. DonLo looks good, the Calientes surprisingly masculine.

Okay I surprisingly don't hate the Caliente changes. Not too sure I'm loving their faces but they do look slightly more like their old Sims 2 selves mainly Nina. They also take more after their old selves' dress sense (Dina wears a lot of black and more feminine, Nina wears black and pink and is a bit more tomboyish) plus they've changed their traits to actually match their old selves too.

Don's new look is nice too but he actually looks too much like Mortimer (mainly the hair and the nose). Can't say I particularly care for Katrina though.

Also glad they kept their eyes green, I didn't like the 'they should have brown eyes because of their heritage' thing when they first talked about the townie refreshes cause people of the same heritage don't all look one way.

Overall, I kindaaaa like the Caliente refresh, definitely more than the Goths'.

I do appreciate the Jewish foods a lot, would actually love a matzah ball soup right now.

I think they look like hard working eastern Europeans.

I knew that it was going to be the Calientes so I was already set to bed disappointed. New recipes are always a good thing! I am not Jewish myself but do play some Jewish families and I'm so glad to have a little bit more to represent them now.

like yes ethnicity but really if you saw this Don do you really see him smooching sims left and right and getting whacked by crumplebottom without hint of remorse for his actions

also its almost insulting they didn't use middle part hair for Dina given we have that in base game she would under no circumstances choose side part thats simply not Dina thing to do

I do think new Katrina looks cool but also she really shouldn't be involved with Don in first place

also it almost looks more like she is Dons mom now ?

Nighat is forever retconned out, huh. And I see that Maxis is now copying people on the gallery's obsession with highlighter. Not a fan at all

On the bright side, I see a new aspiration. Could be fun?
