How can I remove holiday decor from community lots?

When starting a new game, on the calendar, there's a box in the left corner that drops down to a list of seasonal decorations on holidays. Select each holiday to 'None' and remove the 'Decorate Tradition' to remove any decorations from all lots all year round.
