How Can I Stop The Butler From Cooking Too Many Foods?

My Sims butler keeps on cooking food even if there is more than enough food for the Sim's household. How can I stop the butler from cooking? There is no command or order for them to stop cooking.

Old post, this, but I'm having this problem again. The thing is, I don't want to change the assigned tasks. I want the butler to cook - just not in a non-stop fashion!
