So I made a teenage sim. She lived by herself, but she did ok. She got a B and got a promotion on her part time job. After about 3 weeks She come home from school embarrassed. I figured I have her write in her diary about it as that was her want, and boom she was dead and I had a gravestone instead :( She was not starving or anything, all bars was in the green. No notification of what she died off either. Can I get her back? And how can I prevent this from happening again? I know you can die from a lot of things in the sims, but I didn't think you can die from beeing embarresed, especially after when you're home alone.

Do you have an older save file that you have her on, is she saved to your library? As for the emotional death, I have them disabled in MC Command Center. Love that mod!

Emotional deaths may seem random, but so are deaths IRL in most cases. And I know some people would like more realism, but I do not want realistic deaths in my game (i.e. cancer, strokes or heart attacks). So death by laughter, or in this case embarrassment, it is.

I wish I had more emotional deaths to be honest. I think I only had one so far and only because I purposefully made a sim very angry for the black widow challenge. Generally I think my sims don't die enough from unnatural causes, if I don't force a death they'll always die from old age. I'd like some more drama without having to create said drama myself :smiley:

That would not be possible seeing as the patch before Parenthood GP made it to where Teens will no longer die from extreme emotions. Assuming she died in that way, then that's not supposed to happen.

I've noticed that the sims emotion panel thingie kinda flashes at the top when they are way too emotional. I think that's a warning that your sim is in an emotional state that could lead to death. That's really sucky though. You might be able to roll back your save game to when she was alive or maybe pop her in again from your library? You'd have to start over with skill and things. :( Sorry.

Teenagers and their emotions, one little thing goes wrong and they want to die. Are you sure you want her back, she doesn't seem like she can handle life, lol!

I do have some mods installed. It's possible that one of them led to teenager being able to die like adults. Not sure. That might be what happened.

I managed to save, so I won't get the game back, but I got the sim in saved so I can get her back fresh, only loosing the 3 weeks I played her.
