I have a few questions about Daycare in Sims 4. Will the Daycare build my toddlers' skills or not?How do I get my toddlers to Daycare?Do I have to build my toddlers' skills alone or will the Daycare would on it too? (I know this question is similar to the first one, but I want clear answers).I have a little family of 4 kiddos, 2 toddlers and 2 kids, with the classic mom and dad. Now my first two kiddos are kids now, so they don't need much care, but toddlers do. And my toddlers are fraternal twins who are completely natural (no cheats to gain them and it's the first time EVER I had twins in Sims) so I wanna keep my little twins! I have the dad is working up to be an artist, I forgot what tier he's at, but he's still getting up there. And the mom, she is a stay at home, yet babysits on weekends cause I wasn't sure what job to give her. So babysitting seemed best since I made her a family lover trait. And the thing is, that she's the one I have being a slight gardener and fishing pro. So she'd be the best to get the cowplants I want I'm sure. But I can't if I have to care for my toddlers.I don't hate my twins, they are awesome. But I can't risk losing them cause I want to fish for cowplants that I can't always get first time. I was told to go to Magnolia Blossom Park, all the way in the back, there's 3 fishing spots, and the middle one gives cowplant berries. And I can't risk losing my twins cause I try to fish there and it'll give me random items before getting to cowplant berries.So please, be kind and let me know how I can drop off my toddlers so they can be cared for so I could have a chance to fish. I know I can age them up, but I want them to age naturally and they aren't anywhere near aging up yet.Also "care for self" on Sims when I'm away from the house, would that apply that they also care for the toddlers too? Like change the toddlers' diapers, put them to sleep, bathing them, giving toddlers attention?Please I need some help here, for the well being of my little twin set. I wanna keep them, yet I also wanna get 4 cowplant berries too. I need some kind souls to help me so I don't have to worry as much when I'm away from the family. I'm always afraid of one of them or more causing a fire while I'm away. But no one so far has made fires yet, but there's still the chance broken electronic goes unfixed and burns my house. So I have some anxiety about a few things while I'm away leaving them home cause they need to be there.Please be kind. The only way to get toddlers into Daycare is if all Sims aged Teen and up from your household leave the lot (go to work/school or travel). There's no "send to daycare" option, unfortunately.

What you may be able to do instead is to hire a nanny, though they can be rather unhelpful.

If you're away from a lot, Sims won't start a fire, as far as I'm aware, they can only happen on actively played lots. So if you take Linda off to go fishing, the family will be fine, besides some of their needs going down (and beware, they're dropping rather fast after the most recent patch). No fires, no disasters of epic proportions while you're away. But do keep an eye on the needs in case you need to head home to take care of the toddlers if their needs drop too far.

I had trouble with nannies so far. Either they won't enter my house, or they won't appear. It's so weird. But maybe they can't enter cause I have the doors locked for all but family XD So maybe that's my bad. I think I still have a nanny tho. I guess I should try opening my house to employees too.

If you're looking for a cowplant berry go to the spice festival. I have consistently gotten one when I pop over just to harvest the plants there each season.

Oh. I don't have any expansions. Sorry. Maybe one day I'll check them out. But I played yesterday and at least gotten one cowplant berry :smiley: And my little toddlers are kids now ^^ Oh how the sims time flies with aging XD

@Anitalifegurl unfortunately Butlers aren't included in the base game but with a stuff pack Vintage Stuff pack. (Seriously would people read all posts of OP before commenting)
