Thank you! That does make sense lol! My sim completed all them very fast and I forgot about that one. Thanks for the help - SimAlexandria6 years agoSeasoned Ace

I thought you needed to be in a particular branch of the tech career to get the option to make investments. Not the video game one but the other one
I didn't get an option about these investments, she just made them herself but I can't rule that out either then... Honestly this sim has completed about half the careers too but I hadn't played her in awhile and I forget which ones were completed and not. I wish I could remember haha - DaWaterRat6 years agoSeasoned AceI'm pretty sure it's the fabulously wealthy aspiration that generates the investments.
- Perthelia6 years agoSeasoned AceSims in the investor branch of the business career can make investments, but it's the wealth aspiration that does it automatically. I believe the return is a percentage of the household funds, so the more money they have, the more money they'll get from the investments.

thank-you! That sounds cool having the choice. My Sims for YEARS have been stay at home parents, I'm just starting to explore careers haha! I'll have to do that one next. - @SimAlexandria i suggest doing a spreadsheets to write down everything your sim has done, its a good way to quickly "remember" what they already did in the game. haha

Haha I tried that once, but then I felt more like I was taking notes in class instead of just relaxing and playing a game. I just play for fun so it won't hurt if I miss something or do something twice by mistake. :) - Admiral8Q6 years agoSeasoned AceI have Mortimer Goth in the investment branch of the business career.
- BK7476 years agoNew VeteranThere are two ways to make investments. The first is through the fabulously wealthy aspiration. If you accomplish it, your sim receives the shrewd trait which deposits 5% of the household funds into their account weekly. This trait was broken for a long time, but was fixed in a recent patch. In the investment branch of the business career, sims can also earn the ability to make investments. Those usually take about 48 hours or so I believe to make a return, but will only make a return once, and then you have to do another investment. I don't think these investments are guaranteed though to always work out in your favour.
