How do I put out the fire?
Fire on the lot. Mom autonomously gets toddler to safety. That's fine. BUT! I can't tell any of the sims to put out the fire and I can't call emergency services...so fire is just blazing now

Gosh, the Sims in my game came running with the fire extinguishers all on their own. Hm? How did I get so lucky?
As for the damage, you should get a pop-up notifying you that the insurance has paid X amount of Simoleons for the lost item(s).
