How do you dress your Sims?

For me, it depends on the sim and the personality I have in mind for them. My irl wardrobe is casual-comfortable and sneakers, but most of my female sims wear heels even at home :D

I enjoy dressing my sims and try to come up with new fashion trends every now and then. It used to be marine/navy themed and lots of white this summer and before that each town had it's own style.

I always try to reach a happy compromise between styles I think my sims would like to wear and outfits that I enjoy seeing them in. After all, it's me who has to look at the sims day in and day out, so even though some sims may have radically different tastes in clothing from myself, they need to compromise!

They all have different styles. I couldn't imagine dressing them all the same :s

I always take care what suits the Sims charasteristics :)

I like to create different personalities that I am completely different to with my sims, and every sim has their own style, I like to download CC for the characters i play with most, to make them even more personalised. :)

It depends on the sim, but I do find that I dress a lot of my females in tank tops, shorts, and flip flops or chucks, like I wear in RL. It's more of an unconscious decision because of course I like the way it looks because it is the way I dress. :D Same with guys, they're mostly jeans and t-shirts and boots kinds, but not always. If I'm specifically making a preppy or dressy sim I wouldn't give them those outfits.

I conceptualize my sims before I ever open CAS. By the time I'm ready to dress them, their personalities have dictated what kind of outfits I'm going to put together. Sometimes I have to search for CC to satisfy a particular sim's needs.

It has little to do with my personal tastes.

I dress them to fit their personality and story. Sometimes it fits my style too, but oftentimes not.
