I loved wants and fears on TS2 and even wishes on TS3 were much better.
In TS4 whims are not only very small things they don't often accurately represent what a sim would want at that moment based on their life/aspiration traits. I know they are suppose to be correlated with traits but they don't seem to, since they are very generic and seem more repetitive than before (also due to lack of variety).
One of the things I loved about TS2/TS3 was when pregnant sims had the desire to have a specific baby gender, or read pregnancy books or buy children toys to prepare for the arrival of the baby.
