How do you get a neglected child back?

my child on the sims 4 just kept playing the gaming rig while she was starving and had very low hygiene, I tried making her go get food but the gaming rig wasn't done until she finnished so i cancelled her action and then she got taken a safe place because of neglectment. It said i have to wait awhile and its been 3 sim days and i cannot find a way to get her back. please help

and you wont be able to adopt because you had a kid taken away from you duh!!!!!

In TS3 you could have a different family adopt the child and then use the manage families tool to manually put the child back into the original house. I don't know if that's possible in TS4, but it might be a good place to start.

I always heard everyone say that in sims 3 you could just adopt them back normaly, maybe that was because of nraas, I always thought it was normal.

I don't think I've seen a scared sim in 4, you just made me miss the "check for monsters" in sims 3 :(

If your baby has been taken away do not save the game just go to the Options Menu then go to exit to main menu then just exit to the main menu without saving the game then go back to your world and you will start the game and your baby will be there.

In the Sims 2 you could adopt and get your child back. But unfortunately the Sims 4 deletes your neglected children. You could add them back if you had them saved in the gallery.
