My play style has been the same for the last three versions. I don't rotate but play one main family through several generations but always concentrate on the original couple. The kids grow up, move out, start their own families. Everyone stays in touch, gets together regularly with family members for outings, vacations, etc. My original couple usually completes all the careers, aspirations, etc. Time and aging make no sense in my game because some of the kids are as old as their adult parents.
