How do I know how much my Sim needs to study in order to get A+ on their finals? It feels like no matter how much they study or submit homework on time/presentations/exams/etc. and no matter how much they "listen attentively" and "take notes" they always manage to fail at at least one exam and get a B or something. I always get notifications how they put in a good effort, but other students seem to be learning more and bla bla, you probably already know what pop up I am talking about.I don't understand what I am doing wrong. :neutral: I am playing with a sim who strives to be an overachiever, and is a nerd, but it's hard to make a believable story in that fashion when she continuously keeps getting Bs despite putting in TONS of effort into her courses.

I have them study until the confident moodlet for being well prepared comes up, the only class I didn't get the moodlet for was the only one my sim didn't get an a+ for - not sure if it's actually a way to tell but it's how I'm doing it :)

I got an A+ in every term and never studied. If you take notes in class, do the homework before the class, and edit your papers/ presentations until outstanding you should get an A+.

I got an A+ in every term and never studied. If you take notes in class, do the homework before the class, and edit your papers/ presentations until outstanding you should get an A+.

This, I don’t study either, just take notes, listen and do the homework and paper/presentation and have been getting A+

You need to get your skills up that go along with the class. If your Sim started with zero skill points in that skill, the coursework won’t be enough to earn an A. I’ve been getting an A+ without studying as well, and my Art major Sim has 5-10 skill points in all associated skills.

I mostly had my Sim concentrate on getting the homework done. A few times I had him "study" first, then do the homework. I was quite pleased with his first session. He got A+ on both classes. :)

Of course, I've just rolled back the save because I want all four teens in the household to age up and go on to uni together. I'll see if I can manage all four at at once. If it doesn't go well, I can always go back to where I left off in the other save, however.

Honest answer? I don't know. I just do as much as I can, leaving time out to do fun stuff too.

Thanks for all the input guys. Turns out, I forgot that improving those skills will be important. lol My sim started with really low required skills so I guess she was having trouble keeping up. :smile:
