How do you know if they are attracted??

Hi, does anyone know how you tell if sims are attracted to each other? It doesn't seem to show but I'm wondering if I am missing something obvious. I made two sims that should have a lot in common but still nothing. I can see there is an option to confess attraction and sims seem to respond differently to certain other sims with that question so is that it? Any help would be great :)
