How do you know which room to renovate?

It seems like often if you do a specific room reno then the client will sometimes come back and ask for a random room reno afterwards (presumably coz you did such a good job!).
Im loving the randomness of the likes and gigs though, it makes things more fun! For example I got a level gig for the BFFs house and all I knew was they liked garden decor. I figured WTH and just filled their house with everything in the Romantic Garden and Oasis Courtyard kits (yup....astroturf carpet, fountains, statues, 'TV unit' created using a stone bench and flowery arbor!LOL
Its also an interesting challenge doing a room reno on those giant empty maxi rooms when you cant add walls.

It’s very disturbing. My sim is supposed to renovate a room but they don’t say which one, or even just the type of room : bedroom, kitchen etc......

if the job just says "room" than you can just choose whichever room you want, otherwise it will specify the room in the job description/title.
But yeah, this had me confused at first too.
