I know this doesn’t quite answer the question but I prefer to turn off ageing in the settings menu instead as the potion can be very high maintenance. Or alternatively, turn off ageing for households I’m not currently playing otherwise I find everyone ages and dies before I get to them.
Alternatively there are some tricks to get lots of reward points. For example if you have the paranormal stuff pack, staying in a haunted house earns lots of RP very quickly that you can use for potions. Or if you have Realm of Magic, the Copypasto spell can create copies of the potion for you (I think). Final thing I can think of is the Get to Work pack has a cloning machine that can create copies of the potion too.
