How do you play a save long term without corruption?

It's kind of hard to like really corrupt a save in this game. Error codes are far more often mod-related than not. Yes, there have been and still are a few cases where they aren't related to mods but this is not typical. You can easily avoid corrupting your saves by having the proper knowledge regarding using and maintaining your mods.
