How do you play rich sims?

I tend to get bored fast with them, but I want to start playing with them more because I play with poor ones too much. My favorite part of gameplay is getting promotions and earning simoleons but it's kinda pointless for rich sims so I just have them complete their aspiration but that's about it. My goal for sims is usually to get rich but after that I have no idea what to do.

What do you guys do with them? What goals do you set for them? Do you just focus on socializing and storytelling with them?

  • There's also the thing that what the game consides "Rich" and what you actually can achive in just one generation, is off.
The Goths, Landgraabs or Vlad, who own enormous houses, dresses in expensive clothing and so forth really has very very little money in the bank. You can have 10 times their funds before becoming an elder.

Vlad really should have like a million simolions. He's immortal, after all.

But again, and this is partly true IRL too: The happiest rich people are the ones that ignores the money (there's actually been IRL studys on this). Just play as normal. The only thing is that you don't have to worry about the bills...

My rich sims get into trouble and are far from boring. They throw lavish parties. They have an elite group of friends who are also rich. Many of them have affairs and children born to mistresses scandalous. I have some mods that I probably cant mention here dealing with drug use and violence which is an added element to the drama....lol Some of my current rich sims are headed to the poor house due to their crazy lifestyles.

I really wish the butler was working now. All they do is sit and read the dumb butler book some of my rich have dismissed them. I get tired of ringing the bell to get them to do stuff they should automatically be doing.

I ended up moving my Butler in with my Legacy family, after My first Child skilled up as a teen, and moved out. To my surprise, he had 99+ Butler books in his inventory, and they sold for Thousands lol.

Being rich in game is fun, especially since it's hard earned, and saved/passed down. It does get boring, but then I Try to make new sims from the ground up, but it's hard being so limited in means. Plus I'm too invested in this legacy, it's always tough moving, then re hanging family photos.
