What an interesting question! I can honestly say it never even occurred to me to pronounce it like "I live" until you asked this.
I guess I just assumed it to be pronounced like "live TV" because of phrases like "going live" and "live broadcast" and "we're live" used in show business, and to me the sims is a game where I get to make my own "shows". I set the show up the way I want it, and then it "goes live" when I go into live mode. :lol:
