How do you put your fingers on keyboard when playing The Sims?

I have a gaming mouse. So the only fingers that stay on my keyboard would be on the WASD.

It's possible to play using only the mouse, but impractical.

Sure, but who wants to mouse around the UI all the time? Not me. :)

Ring finger one 1, middle finger on 2 and index finger on 3. But my ring finger will switch between ` and 1 cuz I tend to take screenshots during unexpected moments. But when I pause the game already and want to take the perfect screenshot, I will shift my index finger to 1 and middle finger to ` so I can quickly toggle between the two.

Number pad 0-3 for pause and speed toggle.

Left hand:
Pinky - Shift
Ring - A or Tab
Middle - W
Index -D
Thumb- Spacebar

Screenshots only, I recently discovered that one but am in habit of using the mouse so I alternate between hitting C and using the mouse to take one. I didn't know you could use it for anything else. I use the mouse for game speed and all menus as well as camera angle which I've seen mentioned here.

Usually the only time I use the keyboard is for page up/down to change floor levels, cheats and positioning/resizing objects. So mostly just in build mode.
