MCCC is a must-have for rotational in my opinion.
1. When you begin your play what rules do you abide by (if any)
Before University I used to play week by week on Normal Lifespan, ending each week on Sunday at 6 am. Now I play on Long Lifespan and play all four seasons (7 days each) and switch on Sunday 6 am in Spring. I try not to cheat too much, but a teeny bit here and there for emergencies are ok. I mostly let things happen and turn it into a story.
2. How many characters do you play and are they usually single..married...married with kids or are they direct family members (example ..mom dad and/or siblings
I am a family player and so all the sims I play are related to each other in some way(Immediate and/or distant). The families vary from single to married, divorced, etc.
3. how long does this type of play hold your interest approximately? ( for example..a week...a month ...longer?)
Depending on the family. I love some more than others, but the last save, before losing it, was 3 years old. I still miss them lol.
4. Do you usually use Newcrest so you can create your own town or do you have a favorite neighborhood and why?
I tend to have my families all over. I enjoy the different seasons (I use a weather mod) and it keeps me from getting bored.
5. Would you say there are any drawbacks to rotational play and if yes then what would those drawbacks be?
University can be a bit of a bother as well as sim AI and death, but I have learned to time things.
6. Other than using rotational play what type of simmer are you in-game...for example ...do you prefer family-related play....single sims over couples...do you prefer to begin as a teen in a family or something else.
As I have stated before, I enjoy playing families and have adapted the Legacy gameplay into my playstyle.
