I’m sure it probably would, but you have to keep buying and using the mood potions whereas Never weary and potions like that last forever. I want my sims to never have to worry about dying of laughter. It is much easier believing a sim could die of anger, or die of hunger than having a sim die of laughter. I have never had a sim die of an emotional death, but I am also careful for them not to tell too many jokes and things. But that is really sad, if you have a sim you want to be a real jokester, to have to worry about them dying that way. It just doesn’t make sense..
If you have MCCC, you can turn off emotional deaths. I did, mostly because of the hysterical one.
Yes, MCCC sounds like a good mod, but I don’t use mods or CC. I wish the game itself had an off switch for dying of laughter. If whoever created MCCC could make these customizations, I don’t see why the sims team itself couldn’t, and I believe that they should. Rather like some people don’t like kits because they use CC. I do enjoy kits, and enjoyed stuff packs even more ( a lot of people complained about stuff packs, and now we rarely get them ). I like the ease of not having to hold off playing the game after an update, not having to move a mods folder out and back in, not having to worry about mods, or CC being a problem for a bug I’m experiencing. Besides, I don’t know much about how to put mods and custom content into my game, and I’d hate to do something wrong and break my game.
There are now quite a few bugs in my vanilla game, some game breaking like the plants turning to dirt piles, one which has been around for years now. I have been hoping they would fix some of these big bugs that plague the game. I shouldn’t have to rely on a modder to fix my game. The sims team itself needs to fix these bugs. I rely on them for all my content that I pay for, and I don’t mind paying them for the content, but they do need to concentrate on fixing bugs that they create.
