If I’m in the mood to play, I’ll play. If I’m not, then I don’t. The mood comes and goes, same as it does with every other activity in life.
If you’ve exhausted all different types of play-styles and still aren’t feeling it, maybe you should just take a break. Don’t force yourself to play a game if you aren’t having fun with it.
