How do you stop kids from going to school?

There's a Mod out there that makes it so none of the kids in the world go to school.

The other option is to simply raise your children's grade. The grades will still go down but you can keep them at whatever grade level you want. It's testing cheats on and then either careers.promote gradeschool or careers.promote highschool (though highschool is not as important since teens won't get taken away if their grade is an F they way that kids will)

I wish there was an easier home school option. I'm currently doing a Bunker challenge where I have a family trapped in a bunker until they can gain their freedom by mastering all the skills. Obviously the kids can't go to school in such a challenge. I didn't want to keep all the kids in the world from going to school so I'm using the skill raise cheats but it's kind of annoying to have the angry red work icon on her portrait and the like. In Sims 3 you could cancel school simply by not having a school building in the world I wish there was an option to click a button to turn school off in Sims 4.

i'm not sure if this is a bug but when my child sim had one vacation day left i had the mom write an excuse note for him. i notice that when the day was near over the sick day i had him take did not take my last vacation day nor did it lower his grade.
if you have an adult with a good writing skill you can try that. not sure how many times you can write an excuse note though.

Is there any downside to cheating your way out of school?

I had a recreateded beaker family in the sims 4 for which I locked the teen nervous inside the house so he literally cannot go to school. Even with doing his homework and now doing make up homework his grade still decreases. I can never bring it up with just homework and make up work. Potentially spamming the projects from parenthood could help this. But if you just don't want them in school there's mods for it
