Do you mean "family leave" from work? There is an option on your Sim's cell phone to call it in. I think it's only for one day though. :sweat_smile: At least from what I remember.

Depends on when you choose to take the time off. Sometimes my sims go back to work after their baby is a toddler if I have them take family leave just before the third trimester begins.

Not sure when it started happening, but in my game the option to take the family leave did not show up on the phone after the birth of the twins a few days ago. But, when my Sims skipped work the next day, it didn't count against either of them, as if they did take the leave....I just never made the call. So for me, at least, it just happened automatically by skipping work.

The way it is supposed to work, iirc, is that you can take up to 3 days. The pregnant sim can start taking family leave as of the third trimester, the inseminating Sim can start taking it only after the birth.

Where is this option supposed to be? I kept checking my phone non stop and there was no option.

@simpkin, it is supposed to show up on the career tab of the phone, right next to the take vacation day option. At least it used to be there.
I haven't seen the option available on pregnant sims in a while, since at least the early november patch...I dunno why not.

thanks @Stormkeep I've never tried to use this feature before so I don't know if it's a bug or not. Probably is.

If you want an evtended leave leave, you could always quit, then re-hire and use a cheat to go back to your former job level.

In my game, it used to be 3 days leave (called in each day, I think).

It doesn't show up anymore for me. It alerts me that my sim can now take leave, but its not available in the phone settings at all. Played another sim and same thing, doesn't show up!

@QueenofMyshuno I do not cheat in my game.
@FairyGodMother I guess it's a glitch for everyone or at least an actual glitch not just my game then.
