I've had serious problems with reactions. Spouses seem oblivious to it, but I've had a child get a negative moodlet that made them sad. However that moodlet was quickly overpowered by "nicely decorated" so they became happy again. Same thing goes for spouses who have actually had a reaction, they get a moodlet. No physical reaction though, and the moodlet wasn't very long lasting as it became overpowered by another moodlet turning them energized (because they were working out while it was happening).
These smart sims aren't very smart.
your right. They aren't so smart but the emotions system needs tweaking in a bad way and that's and understatement. I think a negative emotion should carry more weight but they don't.. Sims are always to happy. It's like that movie with Reese witherspoon where everyone in town was always happy set back in the 50's I believe it was called Pleasantville. What Maxis seems to forget is some of us simmers like to see or make Drama in our games.. How can we make a real connection with our sims when they face no real trials in their little pixel lifes and everything is smiles and rainbows :/
@06Bon06 Oh Angela died :'( I think it's funny she haunted her step dad though lol ;)
