How do your sims react to being unfaithful?

Sims 4 has always been a little lacking in the reaction department though some patches have fixed it up to be much better than it use to be. I still have a problem with cheating reactions and I was wondering how do your sims react to being cheated on? I would love to see if traits or even the amount of time they have been together affect the reaction in any way. I just want my slap back from Sims 1-3 and the 10000 apologies you had to make while every other reaction almost always failed.

Mine struggle with the whole being mad concept.

THis time it went much better than in my first sims game. She was fuming but she didn't mind going into a cheerful conversation with her man and the other woman while the animations switched her facial expressions from angry to happy and back to angry again. She should have been going at the both of them, but she wasn't. The other women couldn't care less and was flirting away though this got a reaction from her.

I was far more impressed this time around as a lot of his interaction and suggestion failed and she returned only mad gestures but I was disappointed that she was more than happy to hug him. Maybe, it was because it was in the friendly section but that shouldn't matter, should it?

I look forward to seeing how cheating works in your game. Mods, please this isn't feedback I just want to see if there is something I can do to optimize the reactions in my own game.

Mine do react, but the happy buffs always override their sad or angry buffs from being jealous. I also hate it when they act jealous even when their partner rejects the flirt. I'm like "Why you mad, they didn't even do anything!"

This is one of many areas where the Sims 4 is subpar compared to it's previous installments. If only there was an actually memory system in place where remembered stuff like this, instead it disappearing and forgetting mere hours couple days, and instead of the photo taking method we have right now that takes up too much space. It also sucks that your Sim has to be active on the same lot as cheating see their other significant other 'cheat'. Is sad think our Sims don't even communicate with one ther when they're not active, as if don't even count in the game, nor family members.

We need individual personalities back, instead if this current Whim system, because regardless of traits, our Sims always act the same. Always with a happy buff overtaking everything else!

Contrary to what is being said in this thread, my sims react pretty strongly to cheating. I had one die from anger when he saw his wife cheat.

It depends on where the spouses are located. If I remember well, in TS2, if a spouse cheated, the other one would come rushing over if in a close enough distance. In TS4, the only way for a spouse to get caught cheating is if I make the other spouse walk to the area of where the cheating is taking place so that they can witness it. It is quite annoying.

Ive rarely succeeded in my sims being caught cheating. However, I do recall a time when a spouse got so angry that he died. But that was only after he got into multiple fights with his spouse's lover.
