Hey sorry to jack your thread real quick, where is the button to post a topic?? Don't tell me the website is glitchy too!
I dont remember if you have to become a full member before you can post your own threads. You have to post like 30 posts or something like that. Im sure there's a new member intro thread somewhere.- And I wish they would update console with the new culling methods. A clarification from @SimGuruDrake on the population limit for console would be nice.

But that is PC and we don't have every pack in the console version that made the limit go higher so we really don't know what the console limit of culling is."pepperjax1230;c-16247982" wrote:

When I said how do you know the culling limit I meant we don't have the option to change the culling limit like the PC so we don't know how many sims are allowed in the neighborhoods before culling takes place."pepperjax1230;c-16237984" wrote:

I believe before PC got that update, the limit for culling was 200 Sims regardless, so I believe we still have it. You can mark Sims as being Played Households though, which I think don't get culled, and currently doesn't have a limit to how many can be marked as Played. It took me a while to realize console could even do that lol.
Because we can't set the Max Sims Count like you can on PC.
Ah sorry, I misunderstood, though it turns out I was wrong. It used to be 200, but now it's 305, I didn't know it was raised. Source. (Scroll to the bottom of the second comment.)
I believe they raise the population cap for the base game before the release of every EP. The console was ported from a version of the game from 2017, so I would assume the limit would be close to what the PC games limit was prior to the culling options update.- Its kinda bothering me that we can't get a clear answer from a guru about this. The PC version culling limitations are clear but they can't provide the same for the console.
Im not even asking when is the console version going to get the same update as pc. I just want to know what the population cap for console is.
@SimGuruDrake - @SimGuruNick confirmed on twitter that it is 413 currently.

He said currently so hopefully that means there are intentions to raise the cap in the future but im satisfied with the number now. - I believe before PC got that update, the limit for culling was 200 Sims regardless, so I believe we still have it. Because we can't set the Max Sims Count like you can on PC.- You can mark sims as played and they won’t be culled. The only difference on console is the population cap which cannot be changed. No clue as to what the max number of Sims is though, best guess would be the PC limit prior to the culling options update.
