I really hate them with a passion. I have very bad luck with them, and pick the wrong one 80% of the time. And some only seem to have negative outcomes no matter what you choose. It almost makes me not want to use careers, and just do work from home options and hobbies. I've put sims in active careers just so I didn't have to deal with chance cards. I think a lot of people liked them in the Sims 2 because they were funny, but my first experience with a chance card in the Sims 2 was not funny at all. It was with a Pet Job and I ended up getting fired.
