How does the photography studio work?

I finally got my photography studio built, and I'm trying to use the photo thing but I can't seem to get any sims over to take pictures. I tend it but no one comes over, I select a sim to take a photo of and they just stand there, and I select a group of sims and only half of them make it over and then they end up stuck on it. Am I doing something wrong, or is mine just buggy? I was having a lot of fun with my bakery before but the "out of stock" signs corrupted and now I can't remove them. :(

My problem with the photo studio is the lights aren't on, how do you get them to work?

Mine tend to it, and occasionally snap off random pictures when I'm not even paying attention, however you earn less money this way. So I set up single and group shots on my own, hang them up and sell them (again) lol :D

Someone said in another thread when your sim tends it other sims will come and want their pic made. Now if it isn't working it might be bugging for some people.
