How hard would it be to do layers in CAS?

I was in CAS and working on a sims winter and summer outfits, and I had a thought come up and was wondering how hard would it be to do layers in the outfits. What I mean is to add just a jacket or coat over whatever shirt they are wearing in their everyday outfit choices. I was thinking this because most sims wear socks and shoes, so it would be like that concept.

  • It might a bit too late to do it now but I also think it's gonna be a lot of work to avoid clipping and stuff. That being said, they could do cuz they can do it with hair and hats. I believe for almost every hairstyle, they would have to make a separate mesh to use when the player pairs it with a hat. And they might have to do this with clothes too if you want layers depending on the shape of the top.

It's even worse, there are actually two different hatchops for two hat positions.

I too think it's too late for layers to be officially introduced. CC is the next best thing really and cc makers do a fantastic job with the tools they have (though not enough scarves to my liking). Accessory jackets and t-shirts as underlayer look good with old maxis clothing.
