How have your bills been since seasons?

Mine increased very little. My Sims live in a two-story, four-bedroom house and the bills haven't exceeded 4,500 simoleons. So it's quite manageable.

Some families take more of a hit than others, so I'm trying to get them the frugal trait and take jungle trips for loot. Even without turning on the thermostat and it's only spring.

After my first winter I have to correct myself.
The use of the Thermostat set to hot roughly tripled my utility bills

Mine went from 6000 to 25000 :#
And that is with frugal trait :(

Mine have increased so much (thanks to the thermostat) but at least it makes the game more challenging.

Mine have increased but I play with MCCC installed (keeps bills at a realistic level) and all of my sims are wealthy so no worries here.

I would say that my bills definitely increased. I've been playing all over my game to get different families to experience the holidays. For one family, the bills were $14,000!! I only have the thermostat in one house in Newcrest. I'm guessing that house has very poor insulation because the sims are freezing in the winter and burning up during the summer. No other families have had that type of experience.

I heard about the high bills , so I kept my thermostat on all winter and my bills were under $6,000. Is it the size of the lot or house that matters? I was on a moderate sized house on a 20 x 30 lot

House size and especially, number of items/furniture in the house (AFAIK)
