- Mine are around 6500 on a decent sized lot in BB. I try to be overly cautious so I only turn the thermostat on a few days per season. My sims are lottery winners so I'm worried about them blowing through their money.
- BlueSeaWaves7 years agoLegendAt first I had it for 2 days on the setting that says will cost more and my bills went from 11k to around 40k+(forgot the exact number) and this time I had it on for a whole week to test it out also on the higher cost setting on a different lot and home and it came to 4K.
- Winifred_Willow7 years agoSeasoned VeteranMy bills in several played households have increased but I expected it since they have the thermostats and extra stuff for holidays that I believe count towards what their monthly bills would amount to.
- Beardedgeek727 years agoSeasoned AceMy bills jumped from 12 000 to 38 000 in a Sim week during summer.
Good thing I had 300 000 in the bank.
This needs to be fixed to reasonable levels. - But I expected it too, most of my builds are mansions, I don't know about the bills of my smaller homes.
- I didn't buy a thermostat for my new household and they were fine during the Summer... still crazy $3000 bills for a starter with maybe $50,000 worth of stuff.
- I nearly had a heart attack when I was expecting my usual bills of around $2500...I had the thermostat set to cool for a few days and I got the bills.... $10,215! Has anyone else had a bill like that? I didn't expect the thermostat to effect my bills that much...
- l_LilMagician_l7 years agoSeasoned AceI used the thermostat for just 2 days because of a heat wave, and my bills increased by 10,000. It seems to cost more to make your house cooler than warmer; I used it for several days in winter and didn't notice a significant increase in my bills.

My sims' bills only went up from 1500 to 3000. That was with the heat on every day during winter. Thinking some of these 'high bills' may have to do with certain mods.
I have some CC but no script mods in at the moment. - I'm curious as I haven't really paid too much attention to the thermostat/bills relationship yet... does size of the house factor in?
- I don’t even have a thermostat installed and my bills jumped too
