- I got above 24,000 with thermostat
- My highest bills were 33,000something. I'm so lucky this family is rich.
- Lustianicia7 years agoSeasoned AceThe increase of bill charges with the thermostat is honestly beyond ridiculous. I expected the bills to be higher, but definitely NOT as high as they've become... this is ridiculously unrealistic. In reality, your bills will NOT increase that much just because of your heating or AC being on.
- elliebreton7 years agoLegendI never used the thermostat and my bills came in at $3500. My sims couldn't afford to pay and had to move out to a shabby apartment.
I was kind of gutted as I had plans for their house refurbishment, but it made for an interesting story line. - DeKaythePUNK7 years agoLegendMy bills are always like $10,000 as well. My sims live in a big house.

I've merged two thermostat discussions into one. Carry on the discussion, and if you're coming from the merged thread, feel free to vote in the poll as well. :) - adding a thermostat to one of my sims 3 bedroom homes increased the powerbill 15k

I nearly had a heart attack when I was expecting my usual bills of around $2500...I had the thermostat set to cool for a few days and I got the bills.... $10,215! Has anyone else had a bill like that? I didn't expect the thermostat to effect my bills that much...
Yep. My bill for a heat streak in summer went from about 12 500 (penthouse) to 38 500(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
There must be a mod to fix this, right? - LatinaBunny7 years agoSeasoned AceI like big houses, I can not lie...
