I like all gameplay styles and different types of packs including the occult packs. The supernatural, fantasy, sci-fi themes are part of the franchise history, we've had them since Sims 1. I think they make the game more fun and interesting. I think if people give them a chance they might enjoy them. I recommend the spellcasters or vampires.
I have seen a lot of people want to buy the packs for the build items and CAS clothes, but don't want the occult Sims. I agree there are really nice BB and CAS stuff in those packs, so it's too bad they don't like the occults because they are missing out.
