I like all gameplay styles and different types of packs including the occult packs. The supernatural, fantasy, sci-fi themes are part of the franchise history, we've had them since Sims 1. I have seen a lot of people want to buy the packs for the build items and CAS clothes, but don't want the occult Sims. I agree there are really nice BB and CAS stuff in those packs, so it's too bad they don't like the occults because they are missing out.
What I don't get is the hostility towards those of us who love occults and occult gameplay, or Maxis for devoting any time at all to creating occults and content for them. At this point it is cannon that occults will be involved in the Sims, always have, and always should. I do agree there should be an opt out for those who don't want it, but why get mad at us for banging the drum for our favorite type of gameplay? And if they can't abide having occults in the game there is a huge amount of free Maxis Match cc available you can get CAS and BB items that are as good or better than what Maxis creates that would easily replace what comes in the pack.
