Finally, the webpages for Goldie Ruthfield Acting Network (G.R.A.N.) and Well Suited Talent Agency are online! While A.I. Staffing and Everyday Extras are pretty easy to sign with for starters, GRAN and Well Suited focus more on the experienced actors. In my universe GRAN casts for TV and more, while Well Suited focuses more on big film production.
In my game it takes no fame to sign with A.I. Staffing, it takes 1 fame star to sign with Everyday Extras, 2 stars to sign with GRAN, and minimum 3 stars to sign with Well Suited. Those mainly working with TV, like the news anchor for Mazaloom News, must be signed with an agency, but they normally won't care much about building acting skill or fame. And they normally don't bother to switch to a higher ranked agency either. The more ambitious actors will of course build all sorts of talent and fame, aiming for either GRAN or Well Suited. Currently, Judith Ward is the only talent signed with Well Suited (there must of course be more, but I don't play them). The picture above is from the recording of Judith's new film, Lemonade, premiering shortly.
I made a calculation routine for the agencies' catalogs, based on what skills each sim has. It will help future producers to pick talent with the right skill combo for their production. I think I will pick 3 skills per production, and the agency will cast based on that. For example will a comedy require some comic talent, while this skill is not interestnig for a tragic story. Some productions will require higher fitness skills than other. Maybe the rather new skill Romantic should be added to the mix for romantic films, but I might think that Acting skill allows a good Acting to pretend the romantic stuff. You can't preend he comic timing and above average fitness level, though. And you can't pretend singing and dancing, if it is a musical the Actor would need to have those skills.
