I'm really liking it so far. I was originally planning to wait till it went on sale but I caved and bought it today. I played for hours. The lack of residential lots doesn't quite bug me, but I do really wish there was more room available for community lots. Other than that though, the world is absolutely beautiful and very immersive, despite the fact that it's mostly decoration. The amount of detail they went into building this world is just amazing.
I'm enjoying the film career so far as well. Even though it can be competitive, much like the GTW careers, it's still fun and I love seeing so many sims running around the film set like there would be in real life.
I also love how packed the clubs get, especially when there's a celebrity around. The way sims react to celebrities is always entertaining (THE SCREAMS!).
I've been lucky enough not to come across many bugs yet on my end.
