How is your engagement since Quarterly Teasers have stopped?

Well the thing is, technically they can have a road map (and I am pretty sure they have one internally) since they plan stuff way in advance.

SWTOR - which is by Bioware, also owned by EA - does roadmaps where they tell you what stuff is coming and roughly when, months ahead of those things happening. That's not how Maxis wants to roll, and that's ... fine, I guess, but it still makes me feel like I'm in a void.

Basically, I'm not saying they need to give release dates and every detail of what's coming, but they could give a little more information further ahead of time that's more specific than 'we're gonna do stuff!'

Yup, I agree. But I doubt it will ever change. The whole marketing/communication strategy is flawed since release of TS4 years ago.

Ill just sit this one out. And hope the next one will be better.

All I can say is I have barely checked the forums since Seasons was released. I follow all the sim gurus on twitter and don’t feel engaged at all. I played seasons for a solid chunk of time but now have no interest in loading up the game. I’ll probsbly binge on the game again in another 6 months’ time.

I picked the yellow one. I liked getting the quarterlies. I don't like wondering when the next pack is. Now I do love that we're getting more livestreams.

Unchanged because I never look at teasers or info until I actually get the game. In the meantime, I just play the game until I get bored, I browse the forums, do other things.

I feel less interested. I have no idea what's happening and yet there's little speculation.

Teasers, etc., have no effect at all on my game "engagement" as you call it. You didn't give this option.

Nice to know if anything is in the works but everlasting upgrading of my builds and Sims gets a bit annoying sometimes after 4 years of playing, that's why I might take a rest from new Packs until I have enjoyed playing the past ones! Patches ok if they contain build elements. :)

Maybe it actually comes down to which management style works best? An office that lays out all their plans and gets to work, and a leader who says we are going to do this, this and this. Or one that says o.k. guys what do you all feel like doing? One that sticks to the plans or one that throws it all out and says nah, let's work on something else for awhile? Note, this is all rumors. :D

I feel less engaged it kinda reminds me of ts2/ts3 days when we didn't know anything. I miss the teasers because it was fun reading theories on the forum about what the next pack would be but now there's hardly any forum speculation.

I come in here a lot less, and now that we can't even help each other anymore I anticipate even less engagement here from players. It feels like the community is dying and it makes me sad.
