KB is very small in file size compared to what your hard drive can store. 1000 KB (kilobytes) equals 1 MB (megabyte). Usually text documents or relatively small jpeg pictures have size in KB. But anything else that stores more data will be in MB and if it's a movie it'll probably be in GB (gigabyte which is equal to 1000 megabytes).
