how long do updates take
mine just sits there and stares back at me, its been an hour. I tried rebooting. still maybe an inch n half. how long did you wait>

I'd remove any mods you have, since unless they are CC they will completely break after this patch with the new python change/update to the Sims game.
Maybe even backup your save game and tray folder somewhere else and delete the my sims folder in the documents/electronic arts folder. Or reboot. Or do a repair files.
Regardless it sounds like you need to restart origin at the very least.
