Some of you have been kind enough to read my threads regarding my Global Superstar, Erik Cantrell. For some reason his latest exploits have been posted down in the Creative Corner portion of this forum, but that's okay.
I'll summarize: I had the couple call it quits since Leila just couldn't control her emotions. While she doesn't have the jealousy trait, she does have the Romantic Aspiration, but I chose Soul Mate for her. Erik was just not having any luck on the dating scene. He did meet the woman his sister hooked him up with, but Alyse Bennett is self-absorbed and a snob. Suffice it to say, Erik began to realize Leila's fits at least meant she cared. He developed a strategy to make sure he focuses more of his attention on her when they're out and about and while he wouldn't totally ignore his fans, he would remember just whom he was out with. Surprisingly, it took only a couple of interactions and they both had a full pink bar. Guess these two Sims are really into each other. They quickly went from him asking her to be his girlfriend to him asking he to marry him, a second time.
To ensure more one on one time together, I had him invite her to move into his sister's home, too. No, they're not sleeping together, yet. I do have to wonder if that would change things somehow. I fear for Leila, that could make his reactions to his fans far worse, come to reflect on it. :open_mouth:
However, Erik was invited out to a bar for Ghost Night, so of course he took his newly betrothed with him. He did his best to calm her emotions when a couple of female fans poured it on really thick and Erik involuntarily reacted to the heavy flirtation. Mind you, he didn't kiss anyone, beyond Leila, but he got that mushy, weak-kneed reaction about him. Leila threw yet another fit. This time she didn't cry, at least. Erik worked on sharing her emotional load, tried to calm her down. At the end of the outing, they went back home. Leila is still aggravated with Erik. I mean, she is really Very Angry with him. She tried to talk to his sister and Brianna ended up being embarrassed by the awkward conversation. Leila did ask Brianna what she thought of Erik, and being very close to her brother (out of her four brother's he's her favorite) she merely stated she liked Erik and that he was cool. So, I had Brianna ask Leila about Erik. Sadly, I didn't get to see what she said, had another pop-up message in my game and couldn't find her response in the drop down menu. It was after that that Brianna got all humiliated, though.
Erik has tried to talk to Leila and she won't have anything from him. She walked downstairs and ended up in the small home Theater, just standing there being all angry. Erik stayed upstairs for a bit to help his sister by cleaning up the mess his toddler nephew made on the floor while the two female Sims were chatting.
Now, Erik gets a "break up" on the first level of interactions when I have him click on Leila. At one point at the bar, he had a heart with a negative or minus sign beside it floating above his head. This does not bode well.
I am in a total quandary over this. They reunited so quickly and for a heartbeat, at least, seemed happy. She really seemed to have calmed down. Now, she thinks she got a flirty spouse and is wondering how long it's been going on behind her back. Spouse, really? They haven't yet tied the knot.
How long do you wait before you have your Sim just walk away?
I understand, And I must say she will never let him live a happy life. I think some of the jealous sims have a bug.
I think its a serious problem with the jealousy trait in sims 4, I had a jealous female sim that would go nuts with jealousy if her husband and father of her twin toddlers if he even picks one up or hugs them.
So It was no way that family could stay together, I did think maybe I should just let her go and get him a different wife. But then I thought of her children she was a good mom on her own and her toddlers loved her, it's just when the father would interact with one of the toddlers, she would go nuts on him in a jealous rage. So yes this was every day all day on and off.
I had no choice but to use a cheat code to change her traits, now they are a happy family.
