I play the same save since November 2014. I play a lot of pre-made families and I added a lot of pre-mades from other iterations (e.g. Monty (called "Montague" in my save) and Capp (called "Capulet" in my save) families from TS 2, Alto family from TS 3) and my played families refelect that. If you are interested in some of these premades you can check out my gallery (Erja888).

= 308 Sims incl. a few pets (I play them all in a rotational "birthday save". This means I have all household names written down and next to it is the number of days until a family member ages up and earns a trait/needs a make-over. I mostly play with aging off, but from time to time I switch it on. I select one household that will have a birthday soon (usually two days) and play with it until I have reached what I wanted for them (e.g. getting an A at gradeschool) before aging up. Then I age the Sim up via cake, select the new trait, give them some likes and dislikes and a make-over. After that I move on to the next household.)
