It definitely helps! Randomizing everything is the key for me, it forces me to play careers, aspirations, and traits that I wouldn't normally choose. You'd think that would make me enjoy it less, but it doesn't! Keeps things fresh and holds my interest.
Also, I'm fascinated by genetics so I love to see features pass on through the generations
