How many kids do you prefer to have per couple?

Most of them are accidents. My sims make poor life choices.

I guess the average would be three kids but some have 4-6 kids and some only have one or two. One thing I've noticed is that all my families have kids.

I am playing a legacy, and my family tree has gotten so broad that I have restricted each family to having only one child. But sometimes if I like the family a lot, I might make them have more. But honestly, if it were up to me, I'd have each family have 2 children.

3 is the minimum.

I prefer one because: 1) I can focus on them more, 2) I don't have choose who to continue with, and 3) I tend to get overwhelmed with lots of sims. Though I like having two because: 1) I feel weird only having one child, 2) I like having a bigger family tree, and 3) I like the interactions. Just depends I guess!

Honestly, I like a variety but I think most of my sims have an average of three to five. Though some have had up to seven. I don't think I have had any sim that has been an only child except in the case of being the only child of their parents and having half-siblings.

Two! It's the perfect number. One child I tend to control closely. Often my "heir". And one more I let fate take them where it will. Plus, it's fun to see the genetics of more than one kid.

It entirely depends on how long I wait for my sims to have kids. If they have kids early in young adulthood they end up with what feels like a battalion (usually resulting in me giving up because I can't keep them all happy, and moving on to another family). If I wait until they're at least coming to the end of young adulthood I limit it to three kids, max. That way I can pick a favourite to continue on with, yet still be able to build skills for all the children before they age up.

They will usually have two, but I've had surprises. Especially when I'm too late to prevent alien abductions.
