- Two, because I dread the sims walk long distances.
This is going to change, though. I've taken to enable testingcheats and just teleport my sims the way one would put a doll into another room in a dollhouse. At first I felt bad about that, but seeing what fun builds this practice allows me to use without wasting time, I tend to feel less and less guilty about it. - I usually prefer two stories because one never seems enough for me, and I like it in real life.
Three is if I am going for wealthy, and one is for starters or a certain "look".
I used to use basements, but lately have forgotten to even make one. :o - simsinmysleep7 years agoNew Ace
Everything on one level is so much easier to play, especially with toddlers, kittens, or puppies, so I said 'single', but I do often play with 2-story homes, too. That said, I also sometimes build or download from the gallery lots that have a bunch more levels just because it's fun to mix it up every now and then. - Mostly single-story for the playability.
- I love small houses with garden.
- Missmagoo27 years agoSeasoned AceI like using houses that I'm familiar with. I grew up in a two-story house, so I like to use them! I'm a simple simmer lol
- 2 stories BUT I need the toddler room on the first floor.
- Honestly I prefer having just one story (which is why I prefer apartments to houses) because it's just so much easier to manage. I don't like having to send sims up the stairs and down the stairs to fulfill so many of their needs. I have one family in a huge 1 story family home and I love it so much because there's room for everything and no annoying hassle of stairs.
- Simburian7 years agoSeasoned AceI like two storeys with a basement below for the laundry best for a family but one storey is ok for single Sims.
- I went with 3 stories, but 1 is usually a basement so only 2 are showing above ground. Basements are usually where I have my workrooms (workbench and now floral arranging and archaeology bench), workout equipment, laundry, etc. I occasionally build my teens basement bedrooms with their own bathroom, far away from their younger siblings.
